Saturday night seems to be crazy party night in Cannes with Nick Jones of Soho House, along with Cartier and Grey Goose vodka, hosting a bash to benefit Art of Elysium at the Chateau de la Napoule. Guests will include Rachel Weisz, Kirsten Dunst and Robin Wright Penn, among others.

Rumours told that she missed the party, because she missed her flight - bad voices told because she was smoking too long a sigarette.

HOLLYWOOD babe Kirsten Dunst was in tears after she missed a festival party at which she was due to be guest of honour – for the sake of a cigarette.

Dunst, 27, was set to be the only celebrity guest at the Soho House Art Of Elysium party. But she arrived in Cannes too late because she failed to board her scheduled flight after stopping for a crafty smoke.

I don't think that article is 100% accurate (does that newspaper ever post 100% accurate stories?).

Kirsten wasn't the only 'celebrity guest' due at the event. Various celebs were there. Two 'celebs' who were due to attend who didn't were Kirsten and actress Rachel Weisz.
Rachel Weisz arrived at Cannes on the sunday (the morning after the Art Of Elysium event).

I doubt that both Kirsten and Rachel would have 'missed' their flights, given what a big event Cannes is. It seems more likely to me that they were both due to travel on the same flight and it was either cancelled or (maybe more likely) delayed and this meant they wouldn't have arrived in time for the event.

Anyway, like I see on your pictures on kd.org she is back in NY, same I did read at http://cityfile.com/dailyfile/5931 Kirsten was at the "Kitchen Spring Benefit" event on wednesday.
